Logic Pro 9.1.1 -- Taurus 3 MIDI Recording and Playback Problems

Problem #1

When recording a performance into a Logic 9 External MIDI track, everything sounds normal 'during recording' - all notes are smooth, held notes are all there, notes move away from then return to held notes, portamento is smooth etc.

But...when 'playing back' the MIDI track, the Taurus 3 is unable to recognize notes that are 'held' while another note is struck.

So when you let go of a secondary note expecting to return to the 'held' note the Taurus spits out tiny sputters of MIDI indicating attacks, but none of the hold, legato characteristics of the 'live' performance.

Basically, if any notes are 'overlapping', Logic or the Taurus 3 are not resolving normally on playback.

Is there a setting I am missing in Logic's MIDI recording setup?

Or I am not setting 'latch' and MIDI modes correctly on the Taurus 3?

BTW...The same problem occurs during MIDI playback whether I use the USB and/or the DIN MIDI connections.

My Moog Voyager does not suffer from this issue. Any MIDI recorded and played back through it sounds as performed.

Problem #2:

It seems that the Taurus 3 continues to transmit MIDI on Channel 1 even if you have programmed it to send and receive 'only' on Channel 3.

For some reason, when I enable a MIDI track in Logic for my Moog Voyager on MIDI Channel 1, the Taurus 3 is still 'live' and is controlling the Voyager, even without having it's own MIDI Channel 3 track enabled.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Same Problem

Same problem in Logic.
But i have try in Ableton Live (Taurus Midi Out on channel 2, Midi in in Channel 1), and it seems to work good : On My Ableton midi track, only the channel 2 received data.)
But i occurs other problem on Ableton...argh !
